I have participated in sports since I was a young boy. Being on the small side, I realized quickly that speed would be my edge when participating in sports. Speed definitely helped me survive high school football at a playing weight of 120lbs. and helped me set school records in the long jump.
I have always been fascinated with the human body and it’s ability to produce energy that can be transferred to movement. I’m the athlete that always wants to know why.
While others read murder mysteries I read books about training for speed. While others watch movies, I analyze training tapes and tapes of sporting events. I love to investigate the science of movement and the speed the human body can produce.
As a competitive Masters athlete I surround myself with others who also enjoy discussing the latest technologies and ideas.
I am not the coach that stands on the sidelines and yells. I will be your training partner and mentor. I do not operate a one size fits all training program. I will evaluate where you are and we will work together to establish your goals. I will use my vast knowledge and experience to develop a program personalized to you.
I understand that life may present you obstacles and challenges. We will work together to accommodate or overcome those challenges so you may realize your goals.
I have been coaching speed and track and field for 17 years. I have also worked in the field of personal fitness training with a quite a variety of clients from Olympic athletes to the average person wanting a more active life to clients recovering from serious physical injuries. I have competed in Track and Field since high school and remain to do so at an international level in the Masters division.
